It's time to celebrate !

It’s been a minute since our last newsletter—we’ve been busy figuring out where We The People Rise can make the biggest difference. And, yes, we found a new home base: wethepeoplerise.info.

Here’s what we’re seeing: the world of work is changing fast. AI is reshaping jobs, the economy is shifting, and the old rules for building a good life don’t always seem to apply anymore.

So maybe this is our moment to stop asking, “How do I keep up?” and start asking, “What could I create next?”

Because we believe the resources are already out there. The knowledge. The technology. The connections. The opportunities. The people.

What’s missing isn’t another expert telling you what to do.

It’s your special sauce.

That unique combination of your experience, curiosity, talents, quirks, dreams, and sheer willingness to give something a try.

That’s where We The People Rise comes in.

We’re here to help people find their next adventure, build meaningful work, make useful connections, and create lives—and communities—that are a little more alive.

The future isn’t something we’re waiting for. We’re building it. Together.

So, what's in it for YOU and YOURS? . . . Well, everything

We’re building a place where people can get practical support, make connections, find opportunities, build skills, and figure out what the heck comes next.
🚀 Join us TONIGHT, 7–8pm — our free monthly community call. No RSVP, just show up. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82779689144
Once a month, brilliant humans gather to share big dreams, career adventures, and ideas in motion—and discover the people and connections that can help bring them to life.

There are ways to participate at every level:

Free — Come hang out, join our community calls, tap into our resources, and connect with people who get it.

$9.99/month — Our Planet Fitness level. 💪 Low commitment, more structured support: 2 monthly group coaching calls and access to our library of interviews. Try for free for 14 days.

$159 / 7-week Career Circles — Our deepest offering. Small-group, guided support to move from "what now?" to a real plan. Available locally and online, launching soon. Sign up now to help us get these off the ground.

And because we’re a mission-driven nonprofit, we need your help, too.

Here's where you come in:

1. Donate.
Yep. We need money. 😎 We are a 501(c)(3) so you can write it off on your taxes. Your financial support helps us keep resources accessible and build programs for people who need them.

2. Use our services.
If you—or someone you know—is navigating a career transition, looking for work, starting a new venture, or simply wondering “What the hell am I supposed to do next?”—come use what we’re building.

3. Refer someone to us.
Know somebody who could use a little encouragement, connection, or practical help? Send them our way.

4. Volunteer
We can use your expertise.

We’re not interested in telling people what’s wrong with them or what’s wrong with the world.

We’re interested in what’s possible.

And we think the future is going to be a whole lot more interesting and fun when more people get the chance to create it.

This week we have interviews with:

Susan RoAne, author of How to Work a Room, makes networking feel less intimidating and far more practical — simple tools for starting a conversation, introducing yourself with confidence, and exiting gracefully. You'll also see how small, consistent gestures turn casual encounters into real connections.

Kelly Gangl, job coach and HR professional, tells us to Why 70% of Jobs Are Invisible (and How to See Them Anyway). She's seen it all and has opinions: Stop the 'spray and pray'. It's a waste of time. Learn how to build authentic relationships, uncover hidden opportunities, stay resilient through rejection and transition, and strategically focus your time on networking, upskilling, and applying.

Upcoming Interviews:

Jeremy Schifeling author of Unbreakable - How to AI- Proof Your Job Search, Career, and Future will share tips and tricks

Elizabeth Bullock discusses How to Get Hired at Any Age - Especially Over 50.  Elizabeth re-entered the job market at 50 and built a successful career. Now she mentors younger professionals chasing the same kind of reinvention.

Mary Beck Sutton, Career Coach at Duke's Fuqua School of Business, discussing How to Explore Careers that Align with Your Interest, Values, and Talents

Alex Poeter, leadership coach, will discuss Leading Yourself from the Inside Out.

Who the Heck Put Us in Charge?
In thinking about ways to heal the world, I’ve tried a lot of different things. None of them really stuck until this: The Dream Lab. The Dream Lab is a free experience where you get to reconnect with your inner dream. And it’s for just about anyone who feels like they’re at a crossroads—or simply suspects there might be more for them. I can hear the gears in your head turning: “Huh? How exactl...
Big Hair. Big Boobs. Big Becoming.
Ugh. My heart—and nearly everyone’s on the planet—broke when our beloved Dolly left us for bigger and greater things. An icon of her own making, Dolly taught us all about life, love, and the pursuit of fame. It’s a funny world we live in when the most authentic person we all know had fake boobs and hair and made it her mission to keep plastic surgeons from starving. But here we are, and, to b...
What Is the Illuminator’s Gaze?
That of a puppy? Of someone who truly loves you? Or the gleam in our eyes when looking at our coffee first thing in the morning? I was recently listening to a podcast titled How the Way You Look At Someone Changes Who They Become with David Brooks, the New York Times columnist, author, and longtime observer of human behavior, politics, and the strange business of being a person. He was talk...
